Brad Snyder (2012-12-20)
The BC provincial playdown was held November 1-2 at the Kelowna Curling Club. As in the past few years, four team competed in the a round robin single knockout event.
Congratulations to our 2013 BC Champions Al Roemer, Randy Stewart, Carter Waite, and Guy Bissonette The Roemer team curled consistently well all weekend, going undefeated in the 4 games played.
Our 3 other contending teams, Nixon, Duplisse, and Mertens managed to beat each other up, all finishing the round robin with a 1 and 2 record. Team Nixon advanced to the final against Roemer by winning the berth to the final in the team draw to the button tie breaker.
The Sunday morning final game proved to be too much for the Nixon foursome (Craig Nixon/Brad Snyder/Al Izsak/Clayton Underwood) as they were down by 3 playing the 8th and were run out of rocks before conceding victory to the Roemer rink.
Carter Waite is unable to attend the national championship. Filling in for Carter will be Brad Snyder.
Our BC Delegate this year will be Clayton Underwood and joining the BC delegation wearing White and Blue (with a bit of Green) will be Super fans Dave and Wilma Nicols and Skip and Connie Watson.
